On February 17, 2025, SLIMS organized an enriching industrial visit to Vadilal Industries in Pundra, Gandhinagar. This practical experience gave students a unique opportunity to witness real-world applications of industry best practices. The visit provided deep insights into Vadilal’s ice cream production process, from raw material sourcing to manufacturing and packaging. Students also explored the company’s efficient supply chain management, quality control systems, and maintenance schedules. A major highlight was learning about the cutting-edge technologies used by Vadilal to drive efficiency and innovation across various business functions.
The visit not only deepened students’ understanding of the food industry but also inspired them to think critically about the role of technology and innovation in modern manufacturing. It was truly an enriching experience that enhanced both their technical knowledge and their appreciation for industry operations.
