Expert Session on Opportunities in Data Science
Data Pirates, Analytics Club of Som-Lalit Institute of Business Management (SLIBM) organized an Expert session on "Opportunities in Data Science" for first and second year students of MBA IT on 24th December 2022. Mr. Urmay Shah, a Data Scientist at E-clinicalworks was the Guest speaker. He discussed career opportunities in the field of data science and the skill sets required to get a good job in the field of data science. It was a very interactive session.

Competition for SIP-2019
A competition for SIP-2019 was held for Management Students of Som-Lalit Institute of Business Management and Management Studies on 9th August 2019, which was coordinated by Dr. Twinkle Trivedi and Dr. Reshmi Menon and judged by Dr. Paresh Shah and Dr. Rajeshwari Jain. The 3 winners from PGDM are Arun Peter, Hetanxi Shah, Rutwik and 3 from MBA are Bhavika Peshwani, Bhavik Shah and Kutbuddin Kanchwala. Congratulations Students!

CLUB for Entrepreneurship Development and Economics Activities
Som Lalit Institute of Business Management celebrated Entrepreneurship Fest on 18th of June 2022 in the light of celebrating Azadi ka Amrut Mohatsav with a focus on providing practical exposure and insights on entrepreneurship to the management students. Among 11 groups of students, two groups (Team Hest and Team Swadesi Hatt) were short listed. The final competition was held on 17th September, 2022 and Swadesi Hatt was declared as the final winner of the Competition.

Business Quiz Competition for First Year and Second Year Students of MBA on 03rd December 2021
A Business Quiz Competition in an offline mode was held on 03rd December, 2021 for the first year and second year MBA students of SLIBM. All the participants were well prepared and were a tough competition to each other with the written quiz comprising of questions from the varied fields of business. Munavvar Malmala, Sumit Bhanderi and Hemal Solanki were adjudged the winners of the business quiz.

A Debate Competition was organized for MBA and PGDM First year students on September 14, 2019 on the topics:
Disinvestment of Public Sector Units: justified or not?
New Traffic Rules: Does hike in fine solve the problem?
Bann on Plastic: Justify the way it is being done.
The main focus of the debate was to make the students aware of the current problems faced by our country and the relevant thought process. There were numerous entries from both SLIBM and SLIMS students. Priyanka Premani stood first, Bhupendra Singh second and Chandani Tanna third position in the competition. The competition was very interactive as the students from the audience were proactively raising questions which made the debate live and energetic.

Commodity Derivatives Awareness Programme
An Awareness Programme on Commodity Derivatives for MBA & PGP students of Som-Lalit Institute was organized on 11 th July, 2019, in order to impart understanding on Commodity Derivatives Market in India.
The presentation & awareness session was for 1 hour 30 minutes, along with question answer session. Following are the topics discussed during the session:
